Carved into the craggy rock face below you'll find the 800-year-old 'Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem' said to be one of England's oldest inns and an excellent traditional pub for procuring fine local ales.

Venture deeper down and you can explore Nottingham's subterranean cave network at the City of Caves, with the thrilling National Justice Museum nearby presenting an extensive and grisly history of crime and punishment. Back above ground, the city centre is largely pedestrianised and compact, making Nottingham perfect for relaxed strolling, sight-seeing, and shopping!

From wherever you view it, Thoresby Hall is an architectural delight. A sumptuous riot of bays and balconies, gables and galleries and as sublime a slice of Grade I-listed Revival exuberance as you'll find in the whole of Britain, let alone here at the edge of glorious and ancient Sherwood Forest.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Local Area

After boarding your luxury coach, your holiday has now started. We start our journey by travelling North with a stop en-route for lunch. Continuing your journey through beautiful countryside, to the Nottingham and the Warner's Thoresby Hall where you shall spend the next 4 nights with entertainment, dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Lincoln

A treasure trove of history, cobbled streets and an ancient house, creates a unique atmosphere. A Chance to visit the imposing castle with its Victorian Prison, and in which is the Magna Carta, dating to 1215. Don't miss the magnificent Cathedral, the Lawns Visitors Centre and the superb Museum of Lincolnshire life. There are also many small shops down by the river if it's a little bit of retail therapy you are after. Returning back to your hotel to relax before dinner.

Day 3: Nottingham

After breakfast you may like to join the coach for an excursion into Nottingham. First to the visitors centre in Sherwood Forest. The legendary stomping-ground of Robin Hood, this 450 acre park is now part of the Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve. Day 4: Day at Leisure

A day to relax and enjoy the facilities of Thoresby Hall.

Day 5: Depart for Home

After a hearty breakfast and cases have been loaded onto the coach. It is time to say farewell to your hosts at the Thoresby Hall Hotel. Retracing your steps, with comfort stops en-route. You will arrive in your local area, late afternoon - early evening.

Your driver/guide will do their professional best to ensure that you enjoy his tour. It will be at their discretion to rearrange the itinerary to better the tour for your comfort.
