At over 800 years old, Skipton Castle is one of the most complete and best-preserved medieval castles in England. For picturesque walks head towards Gargrave village, or if you're not feeling energetic why not ride the Aire valley towpath route. A brilliant destination to soak up the history and sit and people-watch at the many eateries overlooking the Leeds & Liverpool Canal waterside.
