Yorkshire is a historic county of England in the north-central part of the country, between the Pennines and the North Sea.
Yorkshire is England's largest historical county. It comprises of four broad belts each stretching from north to south: the high Pennine moorlands in the west, dissected by the Yorkshire Dales; the central lowlands - including the Vale of York - draining into the Humber estuary in the southeast; the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Wolds in the east; and, in the far southeast, the Holderness plain along the North Sea.
Yorkshire entered the Industrial Revolution as a centre of woollen textile manufacturing in the towns of Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Wakefield, and Huddersfield, where rivers flowing from the Pennines provided both waterpower and a means of transport to the seaport of Kingston upon Hull.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Local Area
Departing our local area, we travel north to the market town of Chesterfield, with the church with the twisted spire. We will stay here for lunch and a little sightseeing, and then we will continue on to our hotel in Huddersfield for the next 2 nights with dinner bed & breakfast. On arrival you will receive tea/coffee while your cases are taken to your rooms.
Day 2: Emmerdale the Village Tour and Harewood House
After breakfast you will head for Emmerdale. Step in the footsteps of your favourite Emmerdale characters with a guided tour around the village where the famous characters film. Saunter past the familiar haunts of Home Farm, Brenda's Cafe, the Woolpack, the village church and rows of stone cottages. All known as home for over 43 years to your favourite Emmerdale characters. Guides will share secrets, stories and reveal fascinating facts behind the making of the multi award-winning ITV soap. Not only will you embark on a fully guided, 80 minute outdoor walking tour of the village, you will also visit Harewood House, which was built in the 18th century and has over 100 acres of exquisite gardens to explore. Later you will return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 3: The Coronation Street Experience & Tour
After breakfast and cases have been loaded, you travel to Salford Keys and head to the famous cobbles of the Coronation Street Experience, including a tour. The tour of Coronation Street will last approximately 1.5 hours and be full of filming stories and secrets, packed with picture opportunities. This is your chance to step on to the largest working television lot in the country and be immersed in the familiar surroundings of the Rovers Return, Roy's Rolls, Underworld and The Kabin. The new exhibition includes replica sets, costumes, props, cafe, retail and cinema which is in addition to the tour. Journey through over 60 years of television history as you see original iconic props and costumes, a collection of artwork and replica interior sets of The Dobbs, Roy's Rolls and The Rovers Return (approx. 45 minutes). Next time you see these soaps on the TV you can say 'I've been there'. After an exciting tour, it's time to say farewell to the street and head for home.
