There are 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves, beaches and walks with a climate that belongs much further south.
Stunning views go out over the English Channel from all across Torquay. The waterfront is the focus of life in the town where you will find the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens and lively harbour.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Local Area
After boarding your luxury coach, we make our way south to Torquay, with comfort stops en-route. We arrive at the Carlton Hotel, your home for the next 4 nights. Time to settle in and explore the complex before dinner.
Day 2: Day at Leisure & Train of Lights
Today you have a free day to explore Torquay's town and harbour. You return back to the hotel for an early dinner before leaving for Paignton and the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a return ride on the Christmas Train of Lights. Your festive illuminated journey starts at Paignton where your train and its vintage carriages await - decorated with thousands of lights, both inside and out. You will be propelled through the Greenway tunnel that leads you to the enchanted forest which is transformed by a multitude of lights and displays. The stunning show ends as you leave the forest only to be greeted by the twinkling lights of Dartmouth reflected on the River Dart. After a turnaround at Kingswear you will be on your way back to Paignton to experience the spectacle from a different direction.
Day 3: Boat Cruise & Exeter
Today you head first to Exmouth to have a cruise on the River Exe, with Stuart Line Cruises. Award-winning family boat trips for over 50 years! The all-weather attraction sailing on the calm and sheltered waters of the River Exe will allow you to experience the river, scenery and the wildlife. After the cruise we head for the city of Exeter for its Christmas markets. Set on Exeter Cathedral Green, this award-winning event features crafts, gifts and tasty food to keep you fuelled as you explore, all against the stunning backdrop of Exeter Cathedral. Traditional wooden chalets inspired by German markets, sparkling lights and craft arrangements on the stalls all create a wonderful Yuletide atmosphere. Events and activities take place at the cathedral itself, including carol services, concerts, events and education activities.
Day 4: Brixham
A visit to Brixham. Generations have been enchanted by the charm and romance of Brixham, a colourful and bustling fishing port at the southern end of Torbay. The hilly town is built around the central harbour area, which remains the lifeblood of this quaint historic town. Vibrant fishermen's cottages gaze out across the port and the fishing trawlers below. Brixham is one of the three towns that make up Torbay on the English Riviera. The picture postcard harbour has a replica of the Golden Hind beside the quay amongst the yachts and fishing boats. The town and harbour side has many interesting shops and cafes among the maze of narrow, winding streets. We return back to the hotel, where you can just relax before dinner.
Day 5: Depart for Home
After breakfast and cases have been loaded on to the coach, it's time to wave goodbye to our hosts at the Carlton Hotel and head for home. There will be comfort stops en-route, and you should be back in your local area by late afternoon, early evening.
