Mold is a town in Flintshire, Wales, on the River Alyn. Set on the North Welsh coast, offering a great variety of scenery with its spacious beaches and rugged cliffs, little fishing villages and secluded bays. It is the largest historic market town in this county. The town has developed around Mold Castle, an earthwork motte and bailey fortress, probably founded by Robert de Montalt around the year 1140.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Local Area

After boarding your luxury coach, we head west to Mold in Flintshire, with comfort stops en-route. Arriving at the Beaufort Park Hotel, where you will spend the next four nights with dinner, bed and breakfast. On arrival, there will be tea/coffee and Bara Brith. Settle in for a fun-packed week.

Day 2: Port Sunlight & Chester

After breakfast, we travel to the village of Port Sunlight for a guided tour of the village. Built by William Hesketh Lever for his factory workers and named after his famous Sunlight soap. Discover how his village was planned with the happiness of his workers in mind. This is a superb example of how life used to be.

This afternoon we travel to Chester. This historic city offers lots to see and do. You can explore the unique 'Rows' of two-tiered shops or take a stroll around the city walls, meander down to the River Dee, or maybe enjoy lunch in a riverside pub. Later, returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Liverpool

Leaving after breakfast, we travel around the Wirral coast via Holake, with its famous golf courses, through the tunnel into Liverpool. Our first stop is the Beatles Story Museum, where the journey is told of how four young lads from Liverpool were propelled to the dizzy heights of fame and fortune from their humble childhood beginnings.

This afternoon you have free time to explore the city at your leisure.

Day 4: Llangollen - Ruthin Castle & Afternoon Tea

This morning, we drive through the beautiful Dene Valley to the picturesque town of Llangollen, where we have some free time.

This afternoon we journey to Ruthin Castle Hotel & Spa; this is a historic property dating back to the 13th century. We enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in their traditional banqueting hall.

Day 5: Depart for Home

After breakfast and all cases have been loaded onto the coach, we say farewell to our hosts at the hotel and start our journey home. With a comfort stop en-route, you shall arrive in your local area by late afternoon.
