Your Holiday Centre
Thanks to its spectacular south-facing position on the banks of the beautiful River Tay, Dundee is a dynamic city packed with culture and energy. Combine the country's first UNESCO City of Design, the countryside that brought us Aberdeen Angus beef, Arbroath Smokies and Peter Pan, and you've got Dundee & Angus! This beautiful, historic and vibrant region is now well-known thanks to the brilliant V&A (design museum), historic ships and museums. There's also plenty of culture with theatres, arts centres, coffee shops and cool bars, as well as walking routes and striking architecture. Dundee is ridiculously well located with some of Scotland's most amazing and diverse landscapes all within a short distance. Dundee is also Scotland's sunniest city and averages 1,523 hours of sunshine per year.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Local Area
After boarding your luxury coach, we travel north with comfort stops en-route. Crossing the border into Scotland we continue north, passing Stirling and Perth, then onto Dundee and our BW Woodlands Hotel, where we will spend the next four nights half board. On arrival, there is porterage, and cases are taken up to our rooms.
Day 2: At Leisure
Today, you have a full day to explore the city of Dundee. Not only is it a UNESCO City of Design, but it is also home to the V&A Dundee, located on the historic waterfront, the only V&A museum outside of London, Discovery Point and RRS Discovery, where you can experience life in the Antarctic with Captain Scott and his crew. There is also HMS Unicorn one of the world's most remarkable historic ships, Verdant Works, which tells the story of jute - synonymous with Dundee and try and spot the famous Beano characters in statue form.
Day 3: Glamis Castle
Today we head for the charming and historic town of Kirriemuir, known as the gateway to the Glens, which is perhaps best known as the birthplace of J. M Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan, whose childhood home has been carefully restored as a museum.
We then continue to the picturesque village of Glamis, home to a gin bothy, before visiting Glamis Castle, the legendary setting of Shakespeare's Macbeth, which was also the childhood home of the late Queen Mother.
Day 4: The Links St Andrews
Today we travel over the Tay Bridge and on to the Fife coastal route to the historic town of St Andrews. Scotland's world-famous home of golf, it is also home to the oldest university in Scotland, a cathedral, medieval streets and gorgeous traditional buildings, and these are all brought to life on a guided walking tour (1.5 hrs). Walk in the footsteps of golfing legends, royals, heretics who were burned at the stake, famous cats and those who live in St Andrews today.
Time permitting, we continue along the stretch of Fife coast known as the East Neuk to the pretty historic villages of Crail and Anstruther.
Day 5: Return Home
After all the suitcases have been packed and loaded onto the coach, we leave our hosts at the Woodlands Hotel and head for home. With comfort stops on the way, we arrive back at your local area early to mid-evening.
