The Lake District is also known as the Lakes or Lakeland and now known as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cumbria includes the Eden Valley, the North Pennines, the Furness Peninsula, and a small part of the Yorkshire Dales. Keswick and its beautiful lake, Derwentwater, is the most popular tourist destination in the North Lakes.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Depart for Lake District
After all pickups have been completed, you start your journey north. There will be comfort stop on the way and time for lunch. On arrival at the Skiddaw Hotel in Keswick, there will be porterage to take your luggage to your room. Time to settle in before dinner.
Day 2: Tour with the Mountain Goat
Today you leave the coach behind, and the Mountain Goat will pick you up at the hotel to take you on an adventure tour around the western lakes following a route pioneered by the Romans! You will journey through the famous mountain passes of Hardknot and Wrynose. You will see England's deepest lake, West Water, and visit the grounds of the 14th century Muncaster Castle. There will be stops along the route providing picturesque photo opportunities. You will then end the tour in Keswick where you will have some free time before its time for dinner.
Day 3: Grasmere-Bowness on Windermere-Kendal
Today you head to the southern part of the lakes to Grasmere, a well-known Lakeland village famous for its gingerbread. Time to explore before you continue to Bowness-on- Windermere, a bustling tourist hotspot with independent shops, home to the Beatrix Potter Museum and plenty of places to eat. This afternoon you travel to Kendal, home of the 'Kendal Mint Cake'. Kendal is home to two castles, museums, a host of historical buildings, a fine selection of shopping arcades, and stunning views. Time to explore before returning to the hotel to rest before dinner.
Day 4: A Lakes Tour
After breakfast you head to Penrith where there is a chance to look around the town before you continue along Ullswater, regarded by many as the most beautiful of all the lakes. Arriving in Glenridding, where you will stop for a break, before continuing over the rugged Kirkstone Pass to Ambleside. Time to explore before heading back to the hotel via Lake Thirlmere.
Day 5: Return Home
After breakfast and cases are all loaded on the coach, you say farewell to your hotel and start your journey back. There will be stops for comfort and lunch.
