Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Local Area

After boarding your luxury coach, we make our way to Holyhead for our ferry to Dublin. On arrival, we continue to the Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan, on the outskirts of Dublin, where we spend one night with dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Battle of the Boyne & Fermanagh Lakelands

After breakfast, we travel to Drogheda and the Battle of the Boyne Museum, housed in the restored 18th-century Oldbridge House. The story of the famous 1690 battle is brought to life through an audio-visual presentation, interactive exhibits and displays of real and replica weaponry. There is also a Victorian walled garden and pavilion tearoom, with time for lunch before we continue west to the Manor House Country Hotel in Killadeas, our home for the next four nights.

Day 3: Enniskillen

Today we visit the historic island town of Enniskillen, beautifully situated between Upper and Lower Lough Erne. We include a visit to Enniskillen Castle, an impressive waterside landmark with a fascinating military history. There will also be time to explore the town and visit the Butter Market, home to a collection of independent arts and crafts shops, before returning to our hotel.

Day 4: Blessingbourne Country Estate

Today we visit Blessingbourne Country Estate, a beautiful 550-acre historic estate surrounded by woodland, lakes and wildlife in the Clogher Valley. The estate is home to a fascinating collection of vintage horse-drawn carriages, coaches, buggies and other historic transport, collected over many years by the Lowry family. During our visit we will receive a warm welcome, hear some of the stories and history of Blessingbourne, and enjoy refreshments with home-baked cakes.

Day 5: Belleek Pottery & Ulster American Folk Park

After breakfast we travel to Belleek Pottery, established in 1857 and famous throughout the world for its fine china. Our guided factory tour takes us behind the scenes to see skilled craftspeople demonstrating techniques including moulding, painting, flowering and basket weaving. Later we continue to the Ulster American Folk Park, an open-air museum near Omagh which tells the remarkable story of Irish emigration to America. Explore traditional thatched cottages, meet costumed characters and step aboard a full-scale emigrant ship to discover what life was like for those beginning a new life across the Atlantic.

Day 6: Depart for Dublin & Hotel

After breakfast we say farewell to our hosts at the Manor House Country Hotel and travel towards Dublin. There will be some free time for shopping and sightseeing in the city before we continue to the Wilton Hotel in Bray for dinner and our final overnight stay.

Day 7: Depart for Home

After an early start and a Grab & Go breakfast, we travel to Dublin Port for our morning ferry to Holyhead. Breakfast is included on board. On arrival in Wales, we continue our journey home with suitable comfort stops, arriving back in the early evening.
