Situated around its 72km coastline are quaint fishing villages such as St Aubin, marvellous sandy beaches (rated as some of the cleanest in Europe) and a collection of dramatic craggy coastal walks. Inland is just as rewarding, fascinating attractions, diverse historic sites and gentle verdant scenery all linked by narrow country lanes. Festivals play a big part in island life and barely a month goes by when a local seasonal event is not being celebrated. The capital is St Helier and, whilst small, is a cosmopolitan harbour town and the focus for the islands shopping, eating, entertainment and nightlife culture.

The Best Western 3 star Monterey Hotel is situated on the edge of St Helier. Rooms all have en-suite with bath or shower, free toiletries, hairdryer, TV, tea/coffee making facilities, iron/ironing board and free Wi-Fi.
Gordini's Restaurant serves a range of cuisine, including full English buffet breakfast in the morning and a freshly prepared menu each evening and the renowned Sunday carvery. The comfortable open plan bar area offers a relaxed all-day menu.
The hotel has 2 swimming pools, including an outdoor pool with loungers for fine days, and a luxury indoor pool with a steam room, spa bath, and a mini gym.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Local Area
After boarding your coach from your local area, you make your way south to Poole to catch the ferry to Jersey. On arrival in Jersey, you will meet your transfer coach to take you to the Monterey Hotel, where you will spend the next five nights with dinner, bed and breakfast. You will be met by a hotel representative, who will welcome you to the island of Jersey, and let you know what is on offer to you in the way of excursions.
Day 2: Island Tour
Today, after breakfast, you will go on a tour of the island in an island coach as their roads are a lot smaller than ours. Departing from St Helier, this guided tour takes you to St Aubin's Bay, St Brelade Bay, Corbiere Lighthouse, St Ouen's Bay, the northern coastline, Gorey Harbour and the rugged east coast (subject to change). Returning to hotel to relax before dinner.
Days 3, 4 & 5: Days at Leisure
The next few days are at your leisure for you to explore more of the island. Take one or more of the excursions on offer, maybe to the German underground hospital, vineyards, and more, or just relax on the beautiful beaches. The choice is yours. Tickets are available at the reception from your hotel rep.
Day 6: Return Home
Depart the hotel by transfer bus to the ferry, for your crossing back to Poole, where your coach will be waiting to take back to your local pick-up area.
