Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Local Area
After boarding your luxury coach, your holiday has now begun. Start your journey by travelling westward with comfort stops, to Wales. Continuing your journey through the beautiful countryside of Wales, to the area of Cardigan and the Cliff Hotel & Spa where you shall spend the next four nights with dinner, bed and breakfast. You will enjoy a welcome tea/coffee upon arrival.
Day 2: St Davids & Picton Castle
This morning you will embark on a journey to the smallest cathedral city in Britain. Surrounded by some of the finest coastline in Europe, is St Davids. A popular location for pilgrims and artists alike. Adjacent to its 12th-century cathedral stands the magnificent ruins of the medieval Bishops Palace. Time to explore before you continue to Picton Castle. Picton Castle & Gardens is a magnificent 14th-century stronghold in the heart of Pembrokeshire via a guided tour. With over 700 years of rich history, the castle is set within 50 acres of enchanting gardens and woodlands. You can explore the castle's beautifully furnished rooms, discover its remarkable collections, and uncover the stories that have shaped its past. Later you return to hotel.
Day 3: Cardigan & National Wool Museum
Today we visit the lovely market town of Cardigan with its unspoilt townscape and rich heritage. Cardigan is an historic market town and port. Henry VIII granted Cardigan its charter in 1543 and by the 18th-century Cardigan was the most important seaport in southern Wales. It had a thriving herring and shipbuilding industry, and its merchant fleet carried fish, slate, bricks, bark for tanning, corn and ale. Cardigan was also a major embarkation point for migrants to the New World during the 19th century. Time to explore before continuing to the National Wool Museum, once the most important industry in Wales. Let it weave its magic in this unique working museum. Later returning to the hotel.
Day 4: Tenby & Saundersfoot
Today your excursion takes you through Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, miles of dazzling coastline, beautiful countryside and thriving wildlife make the National Park one of the country's top places to visit. Tenby is a harbour town and one of the UK's finest holiday resorts, which has retained its natural charm. It's known for its 13th-century town walls and its stretches of sandy shoreline, including Castle Beach. The ruins of Tenby Castle are on a headland overlooking the harbour. Exhibits at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery include a 16th-century wrought-iron cannon. The Tudor Merchant's House recreates domestic life in 1500, with a merchant's shop and working kitchen. Later we go to Saundersfoot for a short stop before returning to the hotel.
Day 5: Depart for Home
After a hearty breakfast and cases have been loaded onto the coach, it is time to say farewell to your hosts at the Cliff Hotel. Retracing our steps, you will arrive at your boarding point late afternoon - early evening.
