Your Holiday Centre

Swindon is a small market town, used mainly for barter trade until the mid 1800s. The original settlement is now known as Old Town. Take time to wander through its quiet courtyards and alleyways or enjoy a vibrant mix of traditional shops and pubs alongside modern outlets and stylish cafes and bars.

With the arrival of the Great Western Railway in 1840 a whole new town was created. Today this is the town centre. The centre is fully pedestrianised and offers both indoor and outdoor shopping experience. Whether you prefer to hit the Old Town or the modern town - there are plenty of restaurants to choose from with a large array of cuisines.

There are lots of things to see and do in Swindon including Lydiard House and Park or shopping at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet. You can also discover the history of the Great Western Railway at Steam Museum, learn about the history of various gadgets at the museum of Computing or visit nearby farm park Roves Farm or the butterfly world and craft village at Studley Grange.
